When will I get the reminder?
The evening before the vrat day, so you can prepare - plan the fast, arrange the puja items, or book a purohit. The reminder also names the hour the vrat is kept at, because four of the seven are not kept in the morning.
Do I need to install an app or create an account?
No. Reminders arrive as browser notifications - just allow notifications when your browser asks. No phone number, no login, and you can turn them off from this page or from your browser settings anytime.
Which vrat dates does this follow?
Dates come from the panchang we compute for your own city (drik ganita, from the actual positions of the sun and moon), and each vrat is matched at the moment that decides it rather than at sunrise: Ekadashi, Purnima and Amavasya at sunrise, Pradosham after sunset, Sankashti after moonrise, Vinayaka Chaturthi at midday and Masik Shivratri around midnight. Those moments move across the country, so the same fast can fall a day apart between cities. If your family follows a different regional convention for a particular vrat, verify with your panchang or purohit.
Why did the reminder not arrive?
Browser notifications need the browser to be running (on desktop) and notification permission to still be granted. If you cleared site data or blocked notifications, subscribe again from this page. iPhones need the site added to the Home Screen for web notifications to work.
